About Coco's 2023 Internship Program

Coco's Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity for college students to gain valuable, hands-on training in a fast paced startup environment in the robotics food delivery industry.

Internships are 10-weeks in length, beginning June 5, and in-person, out of either our Santa Monica headquarters or our Culver City Maintenance & Repair site, depending on the team. This is a non-paid internship program; academic credit is available. 

Role: Marketing Events & Activations Intern

As a Marketing Events & Activations Intern in the Consumer Growth & Marketing team, your goal is to grow the user base of the Coco Marketplace App. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of our Marketing Events and activations. You will work closely with our marketing team to help build brand awareness, educate the public, and generate downloads of the app. You will leverage the Coco robots to create memorable robot-human interactions and experiences. You will analyze and report on the results of your events and activations.

Responsibilities 

• Assist in the planning and coordination of Marketing Events and activations including business outreach
• Hand out free products, flyers, and marketing promotions to the public to encourage app downloads
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure event and activation objectives are met
• Research and propose new event and activation ideas to increase brand awareness and engagement
• Help create event and activation marketing collateral, including flyers, posters, and social media posts
• Attend events and activations to provide on-site support
• Assist in post-event reporting and analysis to measure success and identify areas for improvement
• Support the marketing team with other projects as needed

Basic Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with event planning and coordination
• Graphic design skills
• Videography and/or video editing skills
• Photography skills
• Photoshop skills
• Demonstrated history of putting own consumer-facing idea(s) into motion and creating success (professional or personal brand)
