Marketing Coordinator (Entry Level) - Sacramento, CA
Compensation: $17 - $20 per hour
About the Job
Work with a collaborative team of marketing specialists to ensure the completion and success of events the company joins and organizes.
Choose locations, stay under the allocated spending limit, organize on-site vendors, and guarantee customer pleasure for the planned event.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Events Manager in planning event specifics, such as seating arrangements, menus, and guest lists.
- Meet deadlines established by external organizations.
- Assist in all aspects of event operations either onsite or in-office, including logistics, inventory ordering and tracking, and follow-ups.
- Reserve venues, performers, photographers, and speakers.
- Oversee event operations and offer possible solutions to any issues that arise.
- Stay informed on event detail requirements and regulations.
- Assess event performance and identify areas for improvement with post-event reports.
- Support promotional initiatives for upcoming events.
- Complete research and price comparisons for promotional materials and swag items.
- Prioritizes and operates in an organized manner.
- Coordinate with the social media manager to create posts and stories relevant to events
- Report to the Events Manager and execute adhoc tasks related to event planning such as tracking inventory and swag orders.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in Marketing, Communications, Community Management, Outreach, Retail, or similar or a related field
- High School diploma
- AA, BA, or some college
- Highly organized
- Able to focus on tasks and pay close attention to details is required
- Interest in visual arts or aesthetics is a plus
- Volunteer work experience is a plus
- Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds
- Able to work in Sacramento, CA
