Job Summary/Description:

KGNS is looking for a Multi-media Marketing Consultant. KGNS is the dominant company in the market with the strength of 5 broadcast properties (NBC,Telemundo, CBS, ABC, CW), and two digital products KGNS.tv and TelemundoLaredo.tv, and the full dynamic suite of extended audience products of 956 Digital. Our success is the result of extraordinary employees and an exemplary management team. Our company is advancing the world of media and video marketing and are looking for someone to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, have an enthusiastic and outgoing personality, along with a drive to succeed.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Generate revenue for the station and meet monthly goals through effective outside sales techniques
• Develop new business relationships through selling commercial advertising time and other station products by meeting and planning marketing decisions with local businesses
• Create and present advertising strategies and ideas for local businesses incorporating our core broadcast and digital marketing products
• Provide input on sales promotion opportunities to sales management
• Limit churn and retain current business and develop new business contacts
• Develop and attain budgeted revenue goals through effective solicitations, promotions, and service
• Understand the client's business objectives and advertising strategies, and develop ways to help them achieve the objectives through effective marketing

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Strong organizational, written, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Competitive, persuasive, energetic, and self-motivated.
• Ability to overcome objections.
• Outside media sales experience preferred but not required
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Professional appearance.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and insurance.
• College Degree Preferred (but not required)
• A basic knowledge of digital marketing preferred.
