Job description

The Marketing Performance Management Vice President will manage the Business Banking marketing teams entire budget and forecast in terms of both account production and spend.  Reporting to the Managing Director of Acquisition Marketing, this role will oversee the annual budgeting process and partner with marketing strategy to determine the appropriate investment mix to drive profitable account production.  Additionally, the role will manage our quarterly investment reviews and monthly forecast updates.  Partnering with marketing strategy, analytics, finance and marketing execution this team player will drive accountability of results and nimbleness to strategy changes in order to maximize results.   This role will manage a team of 2 supporting the reporting and forecasting process.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Primary contact with BB finance to deliver latest production results, forecasts for spend and budget guidance. 
  • Manage a team of 2 in developing consistent reporting and deep insights into the trends of the business.
  • Partner with Marketing Strategy Directors to create annual budgets ensuring alignment with line of business goals.
  • Partner with Marketing Strategy Directors to consolidate quarterly investment plans.  Challenge test design assumptions and ensure the total organization remains within budget.  Develop PowerPoint slides storytelling the total team investment decisions.
  • Lead and deliver monthly spend and account forecasting for all acquisition programs through interaction with marketing strategy leads, analytics and reporting. 
  • Present to senior executives regularly providing updates on forecast, summarizations of quarterly investment plans or overviews of budget decisions.
  • Interact with Business Banking Analytics team, Finance, and Marketing teams to understand goals, priorities, success metrics, and variance drivers to realize growth opportunities and explain variances to expectations.
  • Become an expert in Business Banking acquisitions trends and impacts from strategic initiatives, marketplace, and competitive landscape.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 4+ years of finance or analytics experience
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Team player with the ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization, influence partners, build consensus, and work across various functional departments
  • Ability to present and discuss financial forecasts and results with capability to educate and enhance understanding across all levels of the organization
  • Experienced manager of marketing budgets, forecasts, and expected financial returns
