City Experiences is seeking a Marketing Associate for our Statue Cruises operation in Jersey City, New Jersey.

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.
About the Opportunity:
The Marketing Associate will be responsible in the designing, planning and implementation of marketing and promotional programs to increase visitation to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. They will work closely with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing to ensure effective communication of programs to internal and external audiences.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implement the plan developed by Vice President of Sales & Marketing to deliver company approved content through social media channels.
- Create and curate engaging content including but not limited to written posts, images and videos.
- Leverage skills to implement a strategy resulting in increased traffic to our social media platforms.
- Research new trends/best practices on competitor websites and develop strategy to increase visitation to the SCC website.
- Monitor social media activities using reporting and monitoring tools. Create weekly reports measuring success of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube – Measuring followers, views, members, and fans.
- Respond to posts as needed and collaborate with Vice President of Sales and Marketing to establish appropriate responses.
- Create and produce quality presentation material for internal/external clients.
- Responsible for creation of all signage, proper design, content consistency delivery and updates.
- Research and identifies new media opportunities and innovative marketing opportunities.
- Record and edit audio content such as vessel announcements
- Compress, digitize, duplicate, and store audio and video data
- Monitor audio and video footage and equipment to ensure quality.
- Confirm all monitors across entire fleet of vessels are operational on a daily basis.
- Maintain all aspects of Audio-Visual equipment to support proper operation of Statue City Cruises vessels.
- Perform minor repairs and routine cleaning of Audio-Visual equipment to support the vessel audio system aboard all vessels.
- Prepare, plan, and update audio and video footage for use aboard Statue City Cruises vessels.
- Responsible for the configuration and support of audio and video aboard Statue City Cruises vessels including but not limited to the vessel audio system.
- Follows all National Park Service directives, and The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island policies, to ensure all passengers, guests, and visitors to the Area have an Interpretive Experience.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- One to two years of experience in marketing, preferably in tourism or transportation industries.
- Proficient in Power Point and other presentation software.
- Experience with editing tools/software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a plus
- Experience creating and maintaining custom reports and dashboards
- Highly efficient team player, with the ability to also work independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment
- Process and quality-oriented with sharp attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Pass mandatory National Park Service background check and pre-employment drug test.
- We are a quality hospitality organization that serves the public year-round. Working weekends and holidays may be required.
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Statue Cruises from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
- Employees may be required to work nights and weekends depending upon work related projects.
