Summary This is a NAF position with the 61st Force Support Squadron, located with Marketing on Los Angeles Air Force Base, El Segundo, California. This position is considered Regular Part Time. The position is 20 hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. As a regular part time employee, you are eligible for leave and benefits Responsibilities Introductory Statement: The primary function of the position is to assist the marketing director in the management of the social media program and development of marketing and advertising programs for the 61st Force Support Squadron (61 FSS). Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for implementing and overseeing the squadron social media program. Under the direction of the Marketing Director, within guidelines, develops FSS strategy and implements tactical plans including building traffic, inciting engagement, growing community social media involvement and tracking and reporting metrics. Responsible for creating, editing, publishing, administering, and removing social media content. Provides event coverage to offer media support/live streaming to social media platforms. Assists in determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance participation and increase financial income to FSS activities. Assists in conducting qualitative and quantitative market research. Administers surveys, collects data, tabulates responses, and assists the Marketing Director in analyzing results. Attends major Squadron events and provides constructive marketing feedback to the activity manager. Assists in conducting advertising campaigns. Obtains information on upcoming events, special programs and offers for activity managers. Assists the Marketing Director in developing communication strategies to determine the most effective and efficient method of reaching the target market. Assists in planning marketing campaigns designed to enhance participation in FSS activities by considering the characteristics of the target audience and the media mix necessary to reach them. Assists in the distribution of materials to base activities and base housing areas. May provide or arrange for photographic support for FSS functions. May assist in design and developing publicity materials as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have a general knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing, public relations, and/or advertising. Must have experience or education which demonstrates skills in multi-channel social media management and possess a broad understanding of social media trends/technologies and research/analytic tools. Experience must demonstrate the ability to perform research and maintain well-organized files. Experience developing, conducting, and analyzing market research information desired. Incumbent must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of the current Adobe Creative Design Suite programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Bridge) is highly desired. Ability to read, write and speak English. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
