A mid-size architecture firm in Washington, DC is seeking an Administrative and Marketing Assistant who will provide support services to the Development Director and Principals.
The Assistant report to the Development Director and will maintain project information, professional contacts, and marketing materials; will assist in the preparation of strategy presentations and reports; and will track prospective projects. The selected candidate will coordinate the updating, printing, and shipping of physical marketing materials, will prepare updates of written project descriptions, and will assist in the coordination of social media. Responsibilities will include composing and editing correspondence with clients, colleagues, and consultants. Assistant will coordinate the calendars and appointments. Facile use of PowerPoint and the Adobe Creative Suite is desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
The Assistant will assist Principals in scheduling appointments with clients and consultants, will track Principal expenses, and will coordinate travel, as requested. The Assistant will help Principals keep track of professional licensure and memberships. And, the Assistant will, as requested, author correspondence between Principals, clients, colleagues, and consultants.
The ideal candidate will have at least an undergraduate degree in marketing or communications and an outgoing and engaging personality. Experience in graphic and/or presentation design is desired. The Assistant should be resourceful in researching projects, people, and solutions to questions the Development Director and Principals may have.
