Overview:
Protos Security is looking for a skilled researcher and survey designer to join its growing team. The Market Research & Customer Insights Manager will initiate, plan, and execute internal and external feedback and survey projects used to analyze business insights in support of the company’s objectives and strategies. The role will collaborate with stakeholders from various departments and functions to ensure that the scope and recommendations of the analysis align with evolving needs.
You will be a valued member of our Marketing team, instrumental in helping to identify gaps in both product offerings and service delivery, with the goal of improving overall business performance and customer experience. Implementing your research and competitive intelligence gathering skills, you will help Protos navigate market trends, make informed decisions, and strategize effectively to stay ahead of the competition.
The person in this role should have strong analytic reasoning skills and ability to understand the market and business context, while managing all relevant information / data (both primary and secondary insights), to tell a compelling story that leads to specific and actionable business recommendations – comfortably presenting findings to a variety of teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Market Research & Customer Insights Manager will be an integral addition to our well-established Marketing department, stepping into this newly crafted role to lead our research and insights program, while also overseeing the implementation of any related software solutions.
- Manage the Market Research and feedback program end-to-end, from understanding research objectives, selecting the appropriate methodology, managing survey platforms, and sharing insights/recommendations with stakeholders and executive team
- Determine survey requirements including sample considerations, screening criteria, research methods, response scales, etc., based on specific business, department and research objectives
- Provide best-in-class survey writing and participate in the development and execution of analytic plans
- Gather and analyze primary and secondary data
- Gather, analyze and disseminate information about market conditions, competitors' strategies, and industry trends to support the organization's strategic decision-making process
- Ability to perform market, industry, financial and economic analyses, including competitive intelligence
- Identify appropriate research methodologies for specific research needs
- Promote the "voice of the customer" throughout the organization, with a focus on product and service innovation
- Lead meetings (ie: brainstorms, results sharing, etc.) with various stakeholders at all levels throughout the organization
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide timely and relevant data-driven solutions to support their initiatives
- Work collaboratively with Marketing, Customer Engagement, Quality Operations and Project Management teams to achieve common goals and deliver data-driven excellence
- Harness the power of data to uncover valuable patterns, trends, and opportunities within end-user interactions
- Manage various research studies simultaneously (multi-tasking) under tight deadlines
Knowledge and Skills:
- 3-5 years primary Market Research, business/competitive intelligence experience
- 3+ years’ experience developing surveys, analytic plans and writing research reports
- Strong Market Research, quantitative and analytical skills
- Experience with subscription resource data collection / advanced knowledge of Qualtrics, Medallia or similar platform
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with tracking, measuring and building KPIs
- Highly detail oriented
- Comfortable with numbers and numerical relationships
- Excellence in verbal and written communications skills, presentation of complex business and data analyses, and storytelling
- Ability to collaborate remotely with different team members across various functions and departments
- Naturally curious and logical with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Work Expectations: This is a full-time remote position with core hours of 9am - 5pm M-F Eastern. Travel expected approximately 10% for customer events, tradeshows, and team meetings.
