This position allows work to be performed remotely near one of our major office locations with the ability to meet in-person as needed in office. (CT-Windsor, NY-Metro, OR ATL ONLY)
Get to Know the Opportunity:
This supporting research role conducts all phases of primary and secondary research (i.e., researches, analyzes and reports on data – both quantitative and qualitative data), providing strategic input into Voya’s businesses. It includes delivery of high quality and timely research analyses, reports with actionable recommendations. Further, the role requires strong analytic reasoning skills and ability to understand the market, business context, while utilizing multi-source synthesis of all relevant information / data (both primary and secondary insights), to tell a compelling story that leads to specific and actionable business recommendations – comfortably presenting findings to a variety of teams.
The Contributions You'll Make:
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative primary Market Research; collecting, managing and analyzing data from the marketplace and delivering recommendations to various business teams.
  • Utilize strategic thinking skills to write research reports and interpret data and present results to a variety of constituents (i.e., client facing).
  • Determine study requirements including sample considerations, screening criteria, research methods, response scales, etc. based on specific business and research objectives.
  • Conduct data analyses including cross-tabs/data tables, correlations, stat testing, etc. using statistical software and other tools (SPSS, Excel) and create visually compelling charts/graphs.
  • Contribute to best-in-class survey writing and participate in the development and execution of analytic plans.
  • Write headlines and executive summaries and make connections with strategic business initiatives / competitive context.
  • Leverage the use of secondary data and market/industry trends in primary research reports.
  • Effective project management of various research studies simultaneously (multi-tasking) under tight deadlines.
  • Lead meetings (e.g., brainstorms, results, etc.) with internal clients, research suppliers and partners.
  • Execute detail-oriented quality control / data checking procedures for all research deliverables.
  • Submit / edit research deliverables via compliance / brand review, purchase orders / requisitions, etc. for research supplier contracts.
  • Conduct ad hoc research requests and participate in other duties as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
  • Robust academic track record (Bachelor's degree required). Studies in the area of: Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Behavioral Sciences, Life Sciences, or Psychology (cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher).
  • 3-5 years primary Market Research, business/competitive intelligence experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience using statistical techniques (maxdiff/conjoint, correlations, stat testing, etc.), writing and programming surveys, developing analytic plans and writing research reports.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Highly detail oriented.
  • Comfortable with numbers and numerical relationships.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to present and explain data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Expertise with Excel (formulas) and graphical PowerPoint Presentations.
  • Ability to synthesize data and simplify findings to communicate key insights to business partners.
Preferred Knowledge & Experience:
  • Master’s Degree highly preferred.
  • Financial services experience.
  • Strong curiosity about market trends, financial services, and consumer behavior.
  • Aptitude and willingness to quickly learn new skills and information.
  • Knowledge of graphical design programs or other data visualization programs.'

Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
$65,980 - $82,470 USD
