Daily claims review and coding for office visits.
Uses the patient accounting system to download all insurance and self pay accounts daily.
Check and work all AR buckets on ECW claims page daily.
Uses available research and reference tolls to understand the disease process and diagnosis.
Uses the patient accounting system and billing system to file secondary and tertiary claims.
Uses the patient accounting system and billing system to file professional claims to all insurance companies. Uses electronic and hard copy files to file late charges and late credits.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Has knowledge of and abides by HIM COD policies.
Minimum education
High school diploma or equivalency required.
