Job Scope:
- Inspect, maintain, & repair boats of all kinds
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to test & repair boat engines, hulls, propellers, rigging, masts, sails, & navigational equipment
- Install & test sanitation & refrigeration systems, cabinetry, electrical systems, steering gear, & accessories
- Troubleshoot, test, repair, replace, remove, & install vessel systems & components
- Conduct thorough assessment prior to starting job including acknowledging the budgeted time and time frame for completion, proving the system and element requiring service, & sourcing parts as required
- Troubleshoot, repair, & install vessel systems and components including but not limited to; electrical, electronics, HVAC, plumbing, & water systems, gas & diesel engines
- Assign parts & purchases to the appropriate vessels/tickets
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- 5+ years of Experience Preferred
- Experience with both gas and diesel engines preferred
- Knowledge of Marine Systems including electrical, plumbing, & water systems
- Safety Awareness
- Proper PPE
- HS Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
- Technical School Training Preferred
- ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications preferred
- Ability to ascend and descend a ladder
- Hand Tools
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Basic boat handling skills preferred
- Communication & Problem Solving Skills
