Established & growing Pacific Northwest marine repair facility seeks experienced marine trades to join our teams in both our Seattle & Port Orchard locations. We are a privately owned waterfront full service, repair yard & marina with a travel lift capable of 110,000lbs. Candidates must have a strong work ethic & good team attitude. Diesel/gas inboard engine, driveline & mechanical systems experience required. Stern-drive experience a plus. Also looking for persons experienced in marine electricidal systems & fiberglass work. Some desired skills
Minimum 5 Years Marine Mechanical experience required.
Full set of own tools, SAE & Metric
Solid repair skills with strong attention to detail
Effective trouble shooting with the ability to work efficiently.
Written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Computer skills.
Repair and maintain electrical systems.
Repair and/or replace Plumbing & Sanitation Systems
Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures.
In Board and Stern Dive repair &/or replace.
Assist with other duties as needed.
Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
To perform the daily work at Yachtfish Marine as a Mechanic, you must meet certain physical requirements:
• Ability to bend, squat, stoop, crawl, and kneel
• Perform prolonged standing
• Ability to turn head and body from side to side.
• Lift/push/pull a battery weighing 60 pounds without assistance
• Able to work on ladders, scaffolding, and on top of the vessels while hauled out
• The ability to safely and appropriately use required tools and equipment
• Ability to utilize personal protective equipment (closed toe shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, goggles, respirator, safety harness, safety lines, floatation gear, etc.) safely per OSHA standards
• Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
