Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Aluminum Welders of all skill levels for projects located in and around Tacoma, WA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of up to $32/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- MIG, GMAW Welding
- Clamp, Hold, Tackweld, Grind Component Parts to Obtain Required Configurations and Positions for Welding
- Remove Rough Spots from Work Pieces using Portable Grinders
- Chip or Grind off Excess Weld or Spatter using Hand Scrapers or Power Chippers
- Weld Components in Flat, Vertical or Overhead Positions
- Operate Safety Equipment, Manual or Semi-Automatic Welding Equipment to Fuse Metal Segments using Processes such as Gas, Tungsten Arc, Gas Metal Arc, Plasma Arc
- Position and Secure Work Pieces using Hoists, Cranes, Wire and Banding Machines or Hand Tools
- Monitor the Fitting, Burning and Welding Processes to Avoid Overheating of Parts or Warping, Shrinking, Distortion or Expansion of Material
- Other Tasks as Assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 Year of Aluminum Welding Experience; 2+ Years of Experience in Marine Industry/Boat Building
- Able to Pass MIG Weld Test
- Aluminum Experience is Required, GMAW/MIG is Preferred
- Superior Working Knowledge in the Usage of Production Machinery
- Common Hand and Power Tools, Fabricating Equipment
- Able to Read and Understand Blueprints and Weld Symbols
