Enjoy the sun this summer! Sunriver Resort is hiring a Marina Aide to work out in our Marina. Sunriver Resort offers 6 miles of the Deschutes River for our guests to enjoy the day and experience the beauty of Sunriver!
The Marina Aide is responsible for providing a safe and fun experience for all guests while using the marina facilities. They will work with the marina team to load and unload equipment, as well as assisting guests in and out of watercraft. The Marina Aide will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards.
The Marina Aide will always conduct them self in manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Commitment, and Open and Honest Communication. They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times and for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!
Responsibilities: - Interacts with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Assists with overall direction and coordination of guest marina tours
- Informs guests of safe handling of boats
- Assists with getting guests in and out of boats
- Assists with teaching of marina lessons/programs
- With assistance, lifts boats in and out of water
- Maintains a clean, safe and secure environment
- Assists with lifting boats onto trailer at pick-up point
- Assists with opening and closing of the marina
- Promotes the sale of rentals, marina lessons/programs, food & beverage, fishing poles packages and merchandise
- Maintains a strong knowledge of marina surroundings and trip options
- Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests
- Provides general resort information to guests
- High school education preferred
- One year of customer service experience preferred
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- Prior watercraft experience preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, cold, heat, dust & sun);
- Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull & carry up to 50 lbs alone, and up to 80 lbs with help, including some lifting above shoulder height
