1st Shift, Direct Hire Opportunity - Located North of Milwaukee
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Assist Manufacturing Engineers in the development and documentation of processes for assigned equipment. Train and provide leadership and guidance to operators on how to operate and set-up equipment. Troubleshoot technical issues and look to improve established procedures/processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Shop floor support – methods and tooling support, process documentation updates and maintenance, routings/rates, time studies, waste identification and elimination.
· Assist Manufacturing Engineers in defining the settings and parameters via Visual Work Instructions (VWI) or Operation Methods Sheets (OMS) to successfully perform the routed steps for assigned work centers. Create programs necessary to run assigned work centers. Provide technical troubleshooting.
· Evaluate the layout and make suggestions to optimize flow.
· Contribute to cost reduction efforts by leading process improvement projects to eliminate waste.
· Assist Mfg Engs with new product introduction activities driven through the APQP4 process especially in the pilot run. This will include representing Mfg Engineering in cross functional team meetings and performing feasibility studies to identify rate errors or to develop rate standards.
· Evaluate potential new employee candidates or transfers when necessary. Create training programs to enhance employee’s capabilities and safety.
· Attend tooling/fixture review meetings and provide feedback for improving proposed tooling/fixtures. Evaluate current tooling and take steps to make improvements if necessary. Evaluate new tools/fixtures to determine if they meet production readiness requirements.
· Be a positive driving force in work place/work station safety, including machine safety and ergonomics. Support safe and efficient material and tool handling, movement, and storage.
· Run projects through controlled system, closing these projects in a timely fashion.
· Use problem solving tools to evaluate issues. Participate and lead CAR’s when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
· High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of five years experience in technical operations. Experience in establishing process/equipment parameters.
· Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, diagrams, and requirements
· Ability to set-up equipment in assigned processes.
· Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning &Tolerancing (GD&T) system.
Working proficiency with MS Office programs, primarily MS Word and MS Excel; 2D CAD and ERP familiarly preferred. Solidworks experience a plus but not required.
