JOB MISSION

Team Leads monitor the manufacturing process and assist teams to maintain production flow.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Monitors & performs audits of manufacturing processes and standard work metrics; notifies associates of audit results and works to correct any concerns.
  • Conducts process improvement activities with teams, presenting findings as necessary.
  • Responds to team process or takt time failures and fills in for any work stoppages. May be required to perform work on the product to bring team back in line with standard work or takt time. Documents the reasons for failures and any corrective actions.
  • Conducts team instructions sessions, discussions, and updates, i.e. production schedules, style related information. Provides specialty job skills training and instruction.
  • Leads and conducts data based, problem solving activities towards making improvements that positively impacts safety, quality, productivity, and cost.


REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 plus years of experience in manufacturing process or a related area required; proven ability to think critically and objectively.
  • Strong demonstration of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the manufacturing process - must have attained Level B Competency and have demonstrated the knowledge and ability to perform all positions within the area they support.
  • Ability to work with a variety of different types of learning styles and personalities.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (WORD and EXCEL) and e-mail preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing or a committed path of learning or upgrading English skills accepted.
