SUMMARY
Under the direction of manufacturing supervisors or manufacturing manager, Shift Lead is responsible to ensure a constant flow material through all necessary manufacturing areas. Track and expedite all orders on floor and assist in production areas when necessary to ensure material ships on designated due date.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that laminate is staged by due date for shears and inspection areas.
• Ensure that press loads are scheduled and completed to ensure due date is met.
• Track laminate, B-sales, and RF orders through production process – notify supervisor or appropriate department manager should manufacturing, quality, or engineering issues arise.
• Work closely with quality department to ensure necessary QA samples are in process.
• Ensure that quality targets are being met by production workers on shift.
• Work closely with customer service, production control, receiving, and shipping departments to ensure material is in process and on schedule.
• Directs daily production and assigning of shift employees to work areas.
• Train associates on manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
• Fill in when necessary for vacations and absences in production areas.
• Provide feedback to supervisor or manager on issues of employee performance, safety, or violations of company policies.
• Complete incident reports if supervisor is not available.
• Input daily production data into spreadsheet trackers.
• Complete transactions and run reports in ERP system.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with customers, both foreign and domestic, business and distribution contacts, inside sales personnel and internal personnel.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel and Oracle preferred).
• Working knowledge of production floor and scheduling.
• Ability to handle stressful working environment.
• Must be detail oriented and organized.
• EPR system experience.
• Forklift experienced.
• High School diploma or equivalent experience and knowledge in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the laminate industry; experience in an office environment interacting with all levels of personnel.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
D.O.T. Certified.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively in the English language is required for all roles.
REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT/TRAINING
AGC follows all required OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standard industry guidelines in-regards to the use of personal protective equipment and safety training required for the specific job function.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• May be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
• Ability to Stand, walk, sit, use of hands to handle, feel, or grasp objects, tools, or controls.
• Reach and lift with hands and arms; lift/move/carry objects up to 40 lbs. in weight.
• Climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.
• Ability to talk and hear for safety on the production floor.
• Visual ability to see things in close vision, distance vison, color vision, peripheral vison, depth perception and ability to adjust focus as needed.

PAY
$20.00/hr
WORK SCHEDULE/OVERTIME
2nd – 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
