BR&T is seeking a Manufacturing Research and Development Engineer to join our team in Saint Charles, Missouri.

We are looking for a broad range of experience includingAssociate or Mid-Level Research & Development Manufacturing Engineers.

This position supports the Saint Charles, Missouri production facility through the application of engineering principles for the design, fabrication, and installation of equipment and processes. Boeing Research & Technology engineers work closely with production operations, finance, and equipment suppliers to provide cost effective solutions to improve the capacity, quality, and safety of Boeing's operations.

The successful candidate for this position should have the ability to work multiple projects across different programs concurrently and excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with or defines requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and/or maintenance of Boeing products

  • Drafts and/or produces engineering specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes

  • Assists in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs

  • Assists with development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements

  • Performs routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements

  • Conducts routine analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes

  • Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions

  • Develops, designs, and/or qualifies computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements

  • Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements

  • Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 2+ years of experience working in an engineering, manufacturing and/or production environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautics Engineering or similar

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience working on multiple projects and programs across multiple organizations

  • Experience in a role that required strong verbal and written communication skills

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Plan Associate Level: $77,350 - $104,650

Summary Pay Plan Mid-Level: $95,200 - $128,800
