1.Develop products that adhere to specific quality standards and contribute to cost reduction efforts.
2.Plan, direct, or coordinate quality assurance programs. Formulate quality control policies and control quality of engineering and production efforts.
Responsibilities
1.Establish and maintain the quality management system per ISO
2.Perform product inspections throughout process that adhere to quality standards set by Marlin Steel and/or clients
3.Perform duties related to incoming materials including but not limited to
a.Contact vendors to resolve quality issues
b.Develop inspection instructions
c.Determine disposition of assembly defects
d.Track vendor quality ratings
e.Lot containment, develop sampling plans
f.Make determination on reject disposition.
4.Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts.
5.Maintain quality system/ database including but not limited to audit and identify missing data, develop custom report upon request
6.Analyze quality control results and provide feedback or support to production management or staff.
7.Manage and monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
8.Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors.
9.Evaluate quality of materials or products and advise customers on technical or procedural issues
10.Review documents or materials for compliance with policies or regulations
Qualifications
1.3+ years of experience working in a Quality role with a manufacturing background.
1.Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and leadership skills to overcome obstacles.
2.Desire to lead, mentor and develop others.
3.Ability to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlines.
4.Must possess strong attention to detail and project management skills.
5.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6.Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
