Manufacturing Production Assistant - Chicago, Il And Calumet City Locations

We are looking for a Manufacturing Production Assistant to assist in our Chicago, IL and Calumet City, IL Production Liquids and Dry Blending Departments. This role will allow you to engage with the many exciting facets of a flavor and ingredient manufacturer. The ideal individual will work hard and be results driven, but also have fun along the way.

SUMMARY:

Assistant's sole responsibility will be to work with the Production Operator and or Liquid Compounder to pack out finished product and prepare for shipment, identify and pull raw product materials from the designated areas for technician preparation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

May include some of the following during a normal work day. Other duties may be assigned.

Must be detail-oriented

Willing to work hard

Recording production information into production records

Perform visual inspection

Pack out finished dry blending and liquid compounded product

Locate and move ingredients necessary for technician compounding from warehouse to manufacturing area. Replace ingredients after use.

Follow attendance and punctuality standards.

Ability to work extended sift schedule (0ver 40 hours when required) and weekends when necessary to meet business needs.

High School Diploma is required

Food Manufacturing experience is preferred (but not required)

Basic math skills are required

Data entry and general computer literacy preferred

Experience in Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook for email) is preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee at times may be required to stand and or walk for some periods of the day.
