The Manufacturing Forecast Planning Supervisor will have the overall responsibility for managing the planning and establishment of production schedules, monitoring of materials inventories needed for production, tracking progress of production, and review of factors which affect production schedules. Must effectively collect and communicate information and changes between; Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Senior Management. This role will also include but is not limited to inventory management functions and related systems information maintenance.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage outside contractor relationships of those related to production.
- Manage the establishment and maintenance of production schedules to meet customer demand.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining the production schedule in the ERP system and communicating the production schedules to the manufacturing sites.
- Manage outside contractor schedules to coordinate supply chain activities to support scheduled production.
- Manage, train, and educate direct reports on finite scheduling and current planning, and materials management techniques.
- Collaborate with other planners and master scheduler.
- Preform analysis and run continuous improvement projects to streamline the process
- Cross functional interface with Operations, Plant Supply Chain, Sales/Marketing, Engineering, Commodity Management
- Participate in and support the Sales and Operations Planning process.
- Track KPIs, inventory turns, finished materials and product availability.
- Inventory accuracy
- Obsolescence
- Receiving Discrepancy Resolution
- Error Tracking Form Resolution
- Dependable and accurate inventory to support build schedule
- Coordinate service orders to meet the demand and external customers
- Obtain components to support daily manufacturing
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's degree:
- CPIM, CIRM or CPM
- 1-5 years' experience in a planning or forecasting position in a made to order custom environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced Excel computer knowledge and proficient with Word
- Preferred Skills:Advanced level of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
