Hyster-Yale Group, Inc. (HYG), a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Manufacturing Engineering Tech II-III based at our Greenville, NC manufacturing facility.
What you will do:
- Offer technical assistance for all assembly lines, equipment, and processes, with a particular emphasis on enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.
- Utilize engineering expertise to create techniques, standards, line balances, and line layouts.
- Analyze, develop, layout, procure, and install equipment and tools for product implementation.
- Develop, document, and maintain processes within set guidelines.
- Install, start-up, and troubleshoot equipment and provide training to operators on safe equipment use and maintenance.
- Aid in preparing cost estimates for different manufacturing methods.

- Possess an innovative mindset for creating cost estimates for different manufacturing techniques.
- Assess and solve manufacturing issues while empowering operators to independently resolve problems.
- Pay attention to detail when setting up and documenting procedures for product assembly.
- Skilled in problem-solving and offering technical assistance to lower costs effectively.
- A proficient communicator who can guide and assist shop floors associated with equipment safety, usage, and maintenance.
What you will need:
- Level II
- Minimum 2-year technical degree with at least 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience
- Or high-school diploma with 7-10 years of relevant manufacturing experience
Level III- Minimum 2-year technical degree with 8+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
- Or high-school diploma with 10+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
Skills, Experience & Abilities
- Manufacturing Engineering (Manufacturing processes, tooling/fixture design, materials, process planning).
- Industrial Engineering (Ergonomics, facility design, motion/time study, engineering economy, material handling design, simulations).
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical/electronic componentry and circuitry as it relates to lift trucks.
- Seemage and drawing familiarization
- ISO techniques and philosophy
- JIT, 5S, DFT techniques and philosophy
- Accounting techniques
- Quality Assurance procedures and fundamentals
- Product Engineering procedures and fundamentals
- People skills required to interface with assemblers, management, and Design Engineers
- Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
- Systems knowledge (AS400, NOMS, CORE, EDM, Flowbase)
