Jabil has an exciting opening for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Technician III in San Jose, CA!
In this role, you will provide equipment and process support (including machine maintenance) to printed circuit assembly lines. The Manufacturing Engineering Tech will support the department in planning, designing, implementing, and managing; integrated, production and service delivery systems that assure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control within the production site. The main focus will be assisting the Industrial Engineer (IE) in maintaining the layouts and data in IE related systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the preparation of time studies and time estimates
- Update the site layout and project layouts, as directed by the Industrial Engineer
- Update the key, process maps, as directed by the Industrial Engineer
- Update the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB), as directed by the Industrial Engineer
- Enter the configuration data into SAP, as directed by the Industrial Engineer
- This will include but is not limited to: Bill of Materials configuration, part master data
- Enter the configuration data into the Manufacturing Execution System, as directed by the Industrial Engineer
- This will include but is not limited to Routes, Steps, Process Times
- Ensure the standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site in accordance with the global, regional, and site direction
- Support the Lean organization by maintaining a solid process foundation and data integrity in order to support process improvement throughout the organization
- Support and/or maintain all lower level Industrial Engineering essential duties and responsibilities
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- Mechanical and manufacturing duties as needed May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of related experience and/or training
- Demonstrated Hands-on experience in the required process.
- Advanced Knowledge in the area that is being assigned.
- Relentless in exploring new and latest methods in improving assembly techniques.
- Lead Process and Equipment Evaluation aligned to the needs of Site as assigned by the ME Manager.
- Knowledge in Basic Statistics and knowledge of carrying a DOE is a plus.
- Understanding of DFM/A, FMEA and IPC requirements.
- Able to write technical reports for the Site.
- Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD skills required.
