This role assists in the management of all materials, equipment, parts, calibrated tools and engineering components necessary to manufacture compliant and quality electrical wire harnesses on our production floor.  Creatively resolving opportunities during harness build, braid, test, and final assembly with your new ideas and a continuous improvement mindset is needed to accomplish 100% on time customer delivery. Our parts get shipped across the vast Collins Aerospace enterprise and communicating with engineering leads at sites across the globe to troubleshoot complications and analyze redesign opportunities is frequent. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June-August; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past August 2023.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Equipment/B.O.M. management.

  • Oversight of new engineering changes to engine/nacelle wire harnesses.

  • Root cause investigation on quality issues with corrective action implementation.

  • Creation of Standard Work & illustrative planning.

  • Continuous improvement to processes and displays.

  • Managing inventory lists with excel.

  • SAP

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
