Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Melville, NY
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 Annually
About Our Client: Our client, a leading player in the aerospace industry, is seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join their team as a Manufacturing Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and optimizing manufacturing processes within an industrial plant.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop, evaluate, and enhance manufacturing methods to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, designing layouts for equipment and workspace optimization.
- Collaborate with planning and design teams to align product design and tooling with efficient production methods.
- Engage with vendors to determine product specifications, arrange equipment/material purchases, and evaluate products based on quality standards.
- Estimate production times, staffing needs, and associated costs to support management decision-making.
- Collaborate with management, engineering, and other teams to facilitate production processes and address manufacturing capabilities and schedules.
- Apply statistical methods to forecast future manufacturing requirements.
- Make and implement recommendations to enhance product and team performance.
- Exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques for problem-solving.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of related experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Mathematical Skills:
- Proficiency in mathematical concepts, including probability, statistical inference, and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle various variables in non-standardized situations.
Physical Requirements:
