About Our Internship Program
Throughout the course of the internship, interns work on-site and have regular events, lunch and learn sessions and receive training customized by our business units. This unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into supporting the needs of Stanley Black & Decker both in the US and Globally. The interns will understand first-hand what a career at Stanley Black & Decker is like and have the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network. Additional activities are planned throughout the internship period to provide opportunity to network with SBD professionals. Interns are expected to adapt to change and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity and self-confidence. Interns must be team oriented and able to work collaboratively.
What You'll Do
As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you'll be part of our Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing team. CAM is the primary division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace. We are a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, and engineered products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. CAM is currently comprised of nine subsidiaries across the United States split among three segments.
You'll get to:
  • Work together with floor personnel to gather samples and discover methods to improve tool quality and efficiency
  • Support engineers
  • Create work instructions where needed
  • Manage and organize multiple priorities
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
  • Participate in kaizens and continuous improvement initiatives

The Summer Quality Engineering intern candidate will preferably have the following qualifications:
  • Rising Junior or Senior, Target graduation date in 2025 or 2026
  • Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Weld Engineering
  • Strong Academic Credentials, communication and computer skills.
  • Successfully manage strong academics with extracurricular activities.
  • Must meet ITAR compliance.

This position will provide you with:
  • Applied Quality Systems training including some Six Sigma training and development
  • A utility role interacting with key members of a fortune 500 company
  • A current Quality Engineer as a mentor during your internship.
  • A flexible schedule featuring a 40 hours/week
