Job Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the TPM Engineer (Total Productive Maintenance Engineer) will be responsible for maintaining and improving the integrity of production systems through machines, equipment and processes. The TPM Engineer will provide time-planned maintenance activities ranging from aligning and basic fault diagnosis on 5-Axis CNC Machines to working in collaboration with team leaders to ensure all equipment in top working condition to avoid breakdowns and delays in manufacturing processes.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities
- Exemplifying a safety-first mindset and ensuring compliance to the GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards.
- Maintaining Regulatory Compliance.
- In collaboration with Lean Deployment partners, apply the Maintenance Engineering steps of the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Program to achieve the required levels of maturity.
- Develop program to reduce/prevent/eliminate asset failures
- Work with Planner to implement and maintain preventive maintenance program
- Ensure maintainability of new installations
- Conduct forensic and Root Cause Failure Analysis of asset failures
- Provide technical advice to maintenance team
- Ensure proper operation and care of equipment
- Establish a comprehensive lubrication program
- Perform inspections of adjustments, parts, part replacements, overhauls, etc., for selected equipment
- Ensure equipment protection from environmental conditions
- Maintain and analyze equipment data and history records to predict maintenance needs
- Assessing required maintenance tools and skills required for efficient maintenance of equipment
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years experience in a Facilities or Maintenance Engineering role within an Industrial or Manufacturing environment
- Proficient in all Microsoft Packages
- U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional qualification in engineering
- Experience of Continuous improvement and LEAN methodologies
- Lean or Six Sigma certification by a reputable certifying body or benchmark company
- Equipment/building maintenance experience in the Aerospace industry
- Experience in Maintenance Systems (CMMS)
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with an ability to influence senior levels of the business as well as establish collaborative working relationships across different departments
- Experience using CNC Machines at Maintenance or Operator level
- Proven experience in structured Problem Solving
- Significant Technical expertise in Maintenance or Facilities Maintenance
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering experience
- Understanding of export control and regulations
- Previous TPM experience
