Qualifications
- Plants Startup: We seek an individual who has played a role in designing/implementing production/process improvements at multiple production facilities. Experience in material processing, physical goods and commodity manufacturing is required. Plant engineering background and experience working with contractors on commissioning plants is important. Familiarity with pulp and paper, insulation, or other relevant technologies is a plus.
- Project Management: We are looking for an experienced project manager to drive operational and performance improvements and get things done from day one. We need organizational skills and team leadership skills, combined with sound engineering skills.
- Experience Across a Range of Scales / Industries: The ideal candidate can handle the high paced environment of a disruptive startup but can also understand the mindset of cost-conscious commodity manufacturing operations.
- Hands on Mechanical Design/Build Experience: We are seeking a candidate who has been engineering production systems/processes for at least 5-10 years. We want a candidate that will get their hands dirty helping us build the plant, but also will step up a level and help oversee engineering efforts required to scale up the plant and contribute to the design of future plants.
- Versed in Technology: We need an engineer well versed in multiple CAD systems, adept at modeling systems in Excel and other software packages. We need someone who can clearly specify and communicate requirements through appropriate engineering specifications.
- Educational Requirements: BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
We are seeking an individual with these personal attributes:
- Team Player: We’re looking for team members who contribute as individuals, communicate effectively with other team members, and treat all employees with dignity and respect. We are looking for people who lead by example, make and keep commitments and getting things done every single day, while also helping others succeed and enjoy their jobs.
- Customer Focus: We need to drive a fanatical devotion to our customers throughout our team, ensuring that every delivery possible is made on time, and that our product maintains the highest quality standards. We need team members who will challenge themselves to do the right thing for the customer, even when it is not easy or convenient.
- A Natural Problem-Solver: We are seeking an individual capable of working independently and that is self-motivated to identify and address problems as they arise. If you are looking for someone else to tell you what needs to be done, this is not the job for you – we want you to identify problems and then drive solutions, while obviously also listening to input from teammates, superiors, and operators on the shop floor.
- Enjoys the Work and Sees the Vision: We are seeking a candidate who wants to be in a manufacturing environment and to be an integral part of building a successful company from the ground up. You will join CleanFiber not only for your career and income, but for the adventure of building business, changing the building materials industry, and improving the lives of our employees and customers. You will feel success when the team and our customers are successful.
