Manufacturing Engineer
Rustica is seeking an exceptional Manufacturing Engineer to assist our existing design and engineering teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting design demands, creating and revising production drawings using SolidWorks, collaborating with engineers and department managers throughout the design phase, and writing design documentation. We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of drafting techniques, high proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software, and mechanical aptitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet daily, weekly, and monthly design demands by implementing effective processes and procedures.
Create and revise production drawings using SolidWorks, including detail and assembly drawings.
Receive guidance from the R&D team and develop that direction into working drawings for review and improvement.
Collaborate with others throughout the design phase, from initial concepts to concept revisions, commercialized designs, and revisions to commercialized designs.
Write design documentation to accompany proposed and final design drawings.
Requirements:
Solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology.
High skill level in SolidWorks CAD software.
Proficiency in PC usage and associated software, including Microsoft Office.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to complete intermediate mathematical calculations.
Ability to write routine reports, operating instructions, and correspondence.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to troubleshoot situations in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, sometimes chaotic, shop environment.
Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
Prior experience with door, cabinet or window engineering is a major plus.
