Manufacturing Detailing Technician - Weekend Shift

POSITION SUMMARY:

Arrowhead Machining is a fast-paced manufacturing company. We are currently seeking a reliable, hard-working Detailing Technician in our finishing department. In this role, you will be responsible for deburring, tumbling, polishing, and washing parts. As a valuable part of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our production quotas are consistently met in a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality. You will need to be reliable, punctual, and able to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Knife, file, sand, clean, or polish objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools.
• Tumble parts using ceramic media, clear parts of tumbling media.
• Verify quality of finished workpieces by inspecting them, comparing them to templates, measuring their dimensions.
• File grooved, contoured, and irregular surfaces of metal objects, such as machine parts, to conform to templates, other parts, layouts, or blueprint specifications.
• Trim, scrape, or deburr objects or parts, using chisels, scrapers, and other hand tools and equipment.
• Record product and processing data on specified forms.
• Select files or other abrasives, according to materials, sizes and shapes of workpieces, amount of stock to be removed, finishes specified, and steps in finishing processes.
• Keep work area neat and tidy.
• Purchase and maintain personal tools such as scrapers, knives, files and ceramic stones.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

· Mechanically inclined, self-starter.

· Knowledge of raw materials and production process.

· Working knowledge of hand tools.

· Ability to follow multi-step-instructions.

· Manages time efficiently and prioritizes work according to deadlines.

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be at least 18 years old.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

· Required to use PPE; Safety Glasses.

· Exposed to Chemicals; Commercial products (Oil, Cleaning Solvents, Fumes, Dust Excessive Noise.

· Moving Machinery and Equipment.

· Lift up to 50lbs.

· Sitting, Bending, Stooping, standing for 12 hours a day.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

· High School diploma or GED.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must have the ability to read and write in English.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

· Background check.

· Employee will serve a 90-day probationary period

Weekend Shift; Friday, Saturday, & Sunday - 6:00 am - 6:30 pm

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
