Manufacturing Controls Technician

What you will be doing:
This is a hands on role and is great for a maintenance technician that has done some work with PLCs and Control Panels.

• Understand MIOSHA requirements and install a controls system to meet requirements.
• Understand Electrical and Pneumatic schematics.
• Create, review and modify ladder logic as required to meet new customer specifications.
• Specification and purchase of electrical and pneumatic equipment.
• Support MES connectivity to the PLC and SAP systems for data collection and reporting.
• Existing Processes;
• Troubleshoot Controls issues on the manufacturing line.
• Troubleshoot MES software issues on the manufacturing line.

What you will need to be successful

• Must be able to work 3rd Shift.
• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is preferred.
• 1+ years experience with controls troubleshooting and maintenance of a PLC's.
• Exposure to MES technologies, including automated data collection, Quality, and O.E.E. measurements in the Manufacturing Line.
• Knowledge of common U.S. and International Electrical Code.
• Knowledge of hard and soft safety circuits.
• Ability to work with both Manufacturing and Test Systems.
• Knowledgeable with control cabinet set up and wiring.
• Knowledgeable with pneumatic hardware and circuits.
• Basic mechanical ability.
