Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders
- No CNC machines, all manual machining.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Use precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure accuracy of machined parts
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Assemble and disassemble tooling for machining operations
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes
- Utilize hand tools and power tools as necessary
- Operate a forklift/overhead crane to move materials and finished products
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and tooling
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
