As Managing Director,you will oversee all aspects of operations, ensuring the highest standards of excellence in service, guest satisfaction and financial performance. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining Austin Proper's reputation as a premier destination for travelers. Working closely with the Hotel General Manager, you will guide the team in delivering unforgettable experiences and fostering a culture of hospitality excellence.

Key Responsibilities Leadership and Strategic Vision Provide strategic direction and vision for the hotel, aligning with the company's goals and values Lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and guest-centricity Develop and implement policies, procedures and initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfactionFinancial Performance Drive revenue growth through effective sales and marketing strategies, revenue management and cost control measures Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions as needed Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost optimization while maintaining the hotel's luxury standardsGuest Experience Uphold Austin Proper's reputation for personalized service and attention to detail, ensuring exceptional guest experiences at every touchpoint Monitor guest feedback and satisfaction metrics, implementing improvements to enhance overall guest satisfaction and loyalty Oversee the implementation of service standards and training programs to ensure consistency and excellence in guest interactionsProperty Management Collaborate with the onsite Hotel General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, including housekeeping, maintenance and front office functions Ensure the property is well-maintained, safe and compliant with all regulations and standards Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers and partners to ensure the seamless operation of the hotelBrand Representation Serve as the face of the hotel, building relationships with guests, partners and the local community Represent the hotel at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and reputation Act as an ambassador for the hotel's values, promoting a culture of inclusivity, sustainability and social responsibilityQualifications Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field (Master's degree preferred) but not required Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager or similar leadership role in the luxury hospitality industry Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial analysis and revenue management Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels Strategic thinker with a track record of driving business growth and operational excellence Passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences Knowledge of industry trends, best practices and regulatory requirements Required Skills & Abilities Exceptional communication and presentation skills to all levels of management Anticipate needs and over deliver wherever possible Ability to change direction and work on multiple projects aspects at once Second-to-none leadership and interpersonal skills Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail Exceptional guest service and problem-solving skills Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations Effective communication and team-building capabilities Creativity and adaptability Capable of producing a consistent product with adherence to deadlines Exceed guest expectations in a lifestyle luxury environment Team builder with ability to successfully manage and develop a team Familiar and comfortable with handling colleague concerns and holding colleagues accountable.
