Lifeway is seeking a Manager, Training and Risk. You will manage all aspect of the insurance policies for Lifeway including budgeting, application, and claim management. Manage and develop training programs for annual standards of business conduct and other Lifeway policies. This is a hybrid remote/in-office position located in the greater Nashville, TN area and relocation assistance is available.#LI-Hybrid
Responsibilities
- Timely renews current corporation and non-profit State filings and file new applications in States currently unregistered. Also file State workers comp filings in those states that require filings.
- Work with Lifeway's Insurance Broker to apply for, negotiate and secure multiple insurance policy purchases. As needed, compile various insurance and Risk management data such as loss frequency, loss severity, internal workers compensation, and insurance cost
- Primary point of contact for Insurance Broker, their staff, and Insurance Company Reps and Claim Agents to assist with filing of claims. Review and recommend actions related to insurance claims and billings
- Compiles various insurance and Risk management data such as loss frequency, loss severity, internal workers compensation, and insurance cost as requested by the SVP, CLO.
- Allocates insurance cost among internal Lifeway departments as directed by SVP, CL
- Manage and develop training programs for annual standards of business conduct and other Lifeway policies.
- Manage the Conflicts of Interest Disclosure process and advise stakeholders on how to effectively manage approved conflicts.
- Work with Lifeway Camps to train all staff on Ministry Safe Training and driver training as applicable.
- Oversee the discrimination and harassment training for Lifeway people leaders and develop a program to systematically train new hires and promotions.
- Train departments on how to request contracts, Trademarks, COIs, copyrights and infringement takedowns.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree, additional post-graduate work preferred.
Experience:
- Ten plus years of experience in a retail or publishing company, headquarters preferred
- Experience in owning and managing projects or systems, some training experience preferred
KSAs (knowledge/skills/abilities):
- Technical skills - Microsoft 365, particularly Word and Excel
- Written and verbal communication - Advanced
- Quick learner with excellent retention.
- Able to process work in timely manner.
- Requires little supervision once basic instructions are given.
- Problem solving skills - Intermediate
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Exposure to Oracle or other accounting systems
- 10 or more years of applicable work experience
- Exposure to Contract Management Systems (Concord or others)
Other Job Requirements:
- Hybrid position, reliable transportation for work in Corporate Office 3-6 days a month as needed, and ability to work from Home and attend Zoom or other distance meetings.
- Occasionally attend outside meetings with Insurance partners.
- Possibility of air travel to attend meetings.
- Ability to occasionally travel to company work sites for inspection and research.
- Member or regular attender of a Christian Church.
