Position Title: Manager Supplier Management (M2)

Role

The Manager of Supplier Management leads the team of resources that supports on-boarding, updating, off-boarding, and managing the performance of suppliers for Crown Castle while also driving performance improvement of the function. In addition, the role oversees the development, support, and implementation of fleet strategies. To effectively lead these functions, the Manager of Supplier Management regularly communicates initiatives and statuses to the Vice President of Supply Chain, Supply Chain Directors, as well as VPs and Directors in Towers and Network.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, coach and mentor team members
  • Establish quantitative performance management routines with team members
  • Engage and educate Crown Castle key stakeholders about Supplier Management process
  • Establish supplier development, supplier master, approved supplier, supplier quality, supplier safety, and corporate fleet processes
  • Create and maintain Supplier Management, supplier performance and fleet performance dashboards
  • Use Supplier Management, supplier performance and fleet dashboards (as well as other resources) to identify performance opportunities
  • Design and implement process improvement initiatives related to supplier and fleet management
  • Own the relationship with outside tools and services suppliers that support the function (e.g., Coupa Supplier Information Module (SIM), Avetta, Holman, etc.)
  • Establish procedures and policies for proper use of Supplier Management tools
  • Establish supplier quarterly business process frameworks and supplier performance improvement plans when necessary
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships both within and outside of the Supply Chain Team to drive accomplishment of overall Supply Chain goals and objectives

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Good financial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain trusting relationships
  • Understanding of the data sets that can be pulled from the system for reporting purposes
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and manage resources accordingly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Five (5) years purchasing, supply chain and/or related experience

Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office on Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home. There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require up to 25-35%% travel.
