As the manager of Statistical Reportingin the Financial Reporting group, you’ll be responsible for timely filing calls with the Independent Statistical Service (ISS) and state agencies for state and federal statistical filing requirements. You’ll ensure Statistical Reporting’s regulatory filings comply with state regulations, insurance divisions, and commissioners mandating new rating requirements, informational needs, and financial reporting requirements are correct and complete. In addition, you’ll be responsible for the integrity of Progressive’s coding structure by ensuring the quality of data in various corporate systems. Also, you’ll research, document, and develop test plans and communicate to data analysis and IT areas when complex changes to statistical plans are received from a statistical agent or internal customer. In this role, you’ll serve as the point of contact for external statistical agencies.
This is a Cleveland-based position. Remote work allowed. Candidates will be expected to travel to the Mayfield, OH office for closing duties/issues three times a month.
Must-have qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics or related field of study (e.g., Finance) and a minimum of six years of analyst, accounting, finance, or Statistical Reporting experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of nine years of analyst, Accounting, Finance, or Statistical Reporting experience.
Compensation
- $93,200-$124,300/year depending on position level and experience
- Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
