Job description

Your Role and Responsibilities
This role is critical to the continued availability and evolving use of the TWCo ServiceNow platform by the TWCo LOB Product, DevOps and IT Operations users, consumers and leadership communities. This platform provides relevant workflow automation capability to help bring required efficiency and control to critical functions and business processes germane to the TWCo current goals and objectives. The TWCo ServiceNow Engineering Manager will be the primary interface between our valued internal stakeholders and the internal engineering team providing a level of transparency, expertise and support that continues to create a sense of shared success with ease.
Plan
Seek input, define, and strategize the role of TWCo ServiceNow and it's forecasted needs for the upcoming year
Establish an annual TWCo ServiceNow program roadmap of OKR projects
Understand the total requirement and set the overarching business goals for the upcoming year that aligns the TWCo ServiceNow Program and TWCo's top-down priorities
Maintain the centralized backlog of critical work activity
Design
Facilitate automation discussions with business and technology SMEs resulting in agreeable UI/UX designs, architecture and timelines in keeping with the committed roadmap, compliance requirements and known operating constraints
Work with the business and technical SMEs to accurately capture the core business requirements into the backlog. Continue to groom the backlog throughout the year for accuracy and relevance
Maintain good design, support and maintenance documentation practices
Execution
Prioritize 'next inline' backlog activity associated with the iterative development plan (e.g., strategic project phases) and urgent requests into into ServiceNow's sprinting schedule, remaining a quarter ahead
Maintain pace on the active sprint commitments, addressing blockers and minimizing impact of runtime decisions on changes in requirements, design and delivery details
Maximize sprint value (e.g., development workload, business capability and administrative compliance), managing to predefined KPIs
Release
Manage release activity ensuring best practices are followed (e.g., sub-prod instance preparation, required data syncs, QA, UAT, migration, release notes, etc.)
Plan for and facilitate stakeholder meetings with all our partners highlighting primary activity, plans for next sprints, and demos of critical capabilities
Socialize successes with our partners and other interested parties within TWCo
Partnership
Partner with Stakeholders understanding their environmental challenges, opportunities and evolving needs for workflow automation
Partner to our critical API Partners understanding their challenges, opportunities and evolving needs for workflow automation
Partner to compliance experts understanding emerging challenges, opportunities and evolving needs for continuous compliance and actively participating in assessments, risk escalation and mitigation
Partner with the ServiceNow account management team to actively comply with their contractual requirements for instance management, patching and upgrade

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
ServiceNow experience as a engineering manager
Extensive experience managing SaaS platforms, engineering teams, projects and
Demonstrated understanding of the ServiceNow Platform (e.g., including ITIL, ITSM, CMDB, CSM, SSP, GRC, Risk Management, etc.)
Demonstrated understanding of the TOC, NOC and SOC areas of IT Operations
Demonstrated understanding of IT, IT Ops and business process (re)engineering
Demonstrated understanding of managing full lifecycle engineering environment and large-scale programs and projects
Demonstrated understanding of compliance (security and privacy) practice implementation

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.

This position is in the IBM The Weather Company business (TWC) or a shared services function supporting TWC. On August 22 2023, a definitive agreement was signed, under which Francisco Partners, a leading global investment firm that specializes in partnering with technology businesses, will acquire The Weather Company assets from IBM. It is currently expected that as of February 1, 2024, this position will be in a new company that is separate from IBM.
