Paycor’s Manager, Revenue Accounting is a highly collaborative role that will lead the technical accounting and daily activities related to Paycor’s order to cash accounting processes, responsible for revenue recognition and reporting under ASC 606 in addition to accounts receivable and other period end close processing. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with applicable policies and reviewing contracts to ensure that revenue is recorded in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Duties and Cor Responsibilities
- Serves as an internal technical accounting expert for Revenue Accounting and works closely with the revenue and billing operations team to scale and improve system processes, controls and reporting outputs.
- Defines, documents and communicates revenue recognition policies and procedures.
- Oversees and manages the accounting functions, including but not limited to general ledger activity for revenue, accounts receivable and related accounts.
- Leads, motivates and encourages direct reports to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Manages the monthly financial statement close process for revenue and related accounts by performing and reviewing monthly account analyses and reconciliations, including validating deferred revenue, accounts receivable, and other contract related financial statement balances.
- Reviews and analyzes data utilized in creating monthly journal entries ensuring all revenue activities are recognized in accordance with GAAP.
- Assesses contract and product updates and changes relative to the impact on revenue recognition.
- Assists with the design, implementation and maintenance of the Company’s Sarbanes Oxley compliance efforts, including implementing new internal controls as necessary for related processes and supporting internal control testing by internal and external auditors.
- Manages all revenue recognition matters by supporting external audits including quarterly reviews and year-end financial audit activities.
- Assists in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statement disclosures.
- Proactively identifies and implements process improvements that will allow for more efficient and effective accounting operations.
- Assists with acquisition integration and accounting, as required.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA required
- 7+ years’ of progressively responsible, relevant experience required, public company or Big 4 experience, with involvement in SEC clients is preferred
- Strong technical experience in the application of ASC 606 revenue recognition accounting
- Ability to work well under pressure in an agile, fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate, guide and interact professionally with a wide range of personnel at various levels within the organization to drive sound business decisions
- Superior analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights, recommendations, and decisions

We also offer competitive compensation determined by each individual's relevant experience, skills, and education. In addition to base pay, ($85,540 - $146,040) Paycor Associates are eligible for either a performance-based annual bonus or commission, depending on the position.
