The Manager, PMO (Project Manager PMO) will manage, support, and coordinate various technology-related projects. The Project Manager PMO manages and collaborates with vendors; works with employees across IT and business areas; directs a dedicated project team and engages with project sponsors. The Project Manager PMO utilizes project management tools and methodologies to complete projects as well as providing thought leadership in a wide range of technology initiatives to support the business priorities of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and/or coordinate a team of business and IT professionals; coordinate periodic status meetings to update users about ongoing activities and perform other related tasks and assignments as required
- Manage multiple assignments with changing priorities, while meeting deadlines
- Manage project milestones and deliverables against project plan
- Manage all change requests, and ensure work performed is within budget
- Maintain appropriate systems documentation to support various audits
- Ensure that solid test plans are prepared, and that thorough application testing is conducted
- Ensure that technology and procedures used in the development and modification of systems meets departmental guidelines and standards
- Create technical specifications and processes using structured analysis and data modeling techniques (e.g., activity diagrams, swim lane charts, entity-relationship diagrams, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Master’s degree is preferred
- Project Management (PMP) certification required
- Minimum of 8 years experience in IT, with at least 5 years experience as a project manager
- Demonstrated ability to run large, concurrent projects
- Understanding of portfolio management
- System or business analysis experience
- Ability to learn new technologies as required for the job using documentation and other available sources
- Ability to manage multiple assignments with changing priorities while meeting deadlines
- Must be flexible to work off hours as required to install product upgrades, support production problems and other corporate emergencies
Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $115,000 - $173,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
