What is this role?
As the Manager, People Operations for Cirkul, you will participate in creating and be responsible for the execution and success of the people strategy, policy, and programs for the Cirkul production facilities in Tampa, FL. In partnership with the Plant Managers, you will be responsible for advising and administering the full scope of human resources disciplines, to include onboarding, training, talent management, benefits support, timekeeping, and retention programs for current and prospective employees.
What does an average day look like?
- Driving Results:
- Lead a People function that emphasizes processes, systems, and tools for compliance and efficiency, while delivering a best-in-class employee experience and providing a strategic view of talent solutions and engagement aligned with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations. Manage employee safety and wellness programs (ADA, FMLA, LOA, etc.), EEO and Workers Compensation.
- Measure, analyze and evolve HR operations using metrics.
- Taking Ownership:
- Along with operations and other People department leaders, develop and implement People plans, policies, and initiatives aligned with our mission and core values including talent management, performance management, employee relations, and engagement.
- Work with Talent Development to build scalable learning and organizational development programs that aid in growing our company's capabilities and drive employee retention.
- Build and develop a best-in-class People Operations team that provide credible advice, participate in creative and collaborative problem solving, and that team members see as approachable and responsive.
- Making Decisions:
- Supervise a team of approximately five (5) People Business Partners, ensuring consistency across production facilities and onsite support to operations leaders and employees.
- Reporting to the Director of People Operations, lead Employee Relations program and investigations, providing guidance, policy review, insights, labor law reviews, and recommendations for all people actions including, but not limited to talent alignment, reasonable accommodations, corrective actions, and adverse actions.
- Design and implement employee retention initiatives and programs, engagement activities, and HR best practices.
- Have strong leadership qualities, strategic thinking abilities, and effective people management skills.
- Cultivating Relationships:
- Understand and leverage internal relationships, partnering with peers and stakeholders to achieve desired goals.
- Be able to craft coherent and effective communication strategies, adapting tone, style, pace, and medium to reach the desired audience.
- Instilling Trust: Help support our core values and help each other be accountable that all our decisions, programs, and processes are aligned with our culture and core beliefs; Focus on developing a diverse, emotionally intelligent, and inclusive culture through the development of culture initiatives that increase diversity of thought, backgrounds, and perspectives. What background should you have?
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 7+ years of experience in as an HR Generalist or Business Partner. 2+ years of HR leadership experience.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work both hands on and strategically with your team
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations in Florida
- Strong consultative skills and highly effective in communicating both verbally and written
- Ability to solve complex problems using best practices, knowledge of internal and external business issues to provide a new perspective on existing solutions and/or create new solutions
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
