The Manager, Operating Services - Development Support role will support all aspects of the development process from an Operations perspective. The role serves as the main Operations contact for all kitchen and site layouts during the design process and will be responsible for maintaining updated layouts throughout the lifecycle of the restaurant. The role creates documentation, runs analysis, and facilitates changes for all aspects of Operations in the store "refresh" and remodel process. The position partners collaboratively with cross-functional departments including Field Operations, Construction, and Real Estate to guide project execution, reduce obstacles to completion, and ensure initiatives meet timelines. The hire must have organizational agility and be able to identify process risks early to propose solutions to mitigate the risks and ensure successful completion of the project. They may be asked to assist with vendor involvement/support throughout the lifecycle of a project as well as some franchisee conversations. They must be able to communicate project statuses clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the main point of contact from Operations for all preliminary kitchen and site layout reviews, providing feedback to maximize operational efficiencies.
- Submit requests for any development updates required as a result of any product or equipment changes and manage until updates are complete.
- Manage franchisee requests for kitchen layout updates, documenting all requests or changes.
- Provide support, as needed, for Construction and Field Operations throughout the new restaurant build, remodel, and refresh process.
- Responsible for effectively communicating any restaurant prototype or design changes to the Field Operations and any other relevant teams.
- Maintain updated standards and required equipment packages for new restaurant builds based on equipment, design, or product changes (electrical requirements, space requirements, etc.).
- Identify opportunities for process and system improvements in the restaurant through review of layouts and site plans.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-year degree required.
- 3 years of restaurant operations experience, preferred in QSR or Fast Casual segment required.
- Construction and/or Design experience preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, or ABILITIES
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Project Management skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience delivering results while working with cross-functional teams.
- Highly collaborative and organized.
- Analytical approach to decision-making.
- Preferred - CAD, Bluebeam, or other Design Software.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
