he Real Es a e Researcher is responsible for conduc ing econome ric and s a is ical analysis, suppor ing he analy ical needs of fellow researchers, cura ing he da a needed for such projec s, and producing original research repor s.
ESSEN IAL FUNC IONS OF HE JOB:

1. Conduc real es a e research
   
   • Pursue real es a e research opics for delivery hrough he Cen er's media channels
   • Crea e char s, da a visualiza ions, and informa ive presen a ions
   • Suppor s uden analys s in heir da a modeling
2. Provide economic and s a is ical exper ise
   
   • Suppor facul y and s aff's echnical and analy ical projec s
   • Conduc econome ric and s a is ical analysis
3. Cura e da abases needed for Cen er research
   
   • Main ain key da a resources from in ernal colleagues, governmen si es, da a subscrip ions, and o her sources
   • Assis research eam in ex rac ing and organizing da a for individual s udies
4. Explore machine learning and AI applica ions
   
   • Learn abou he HyperGa or facili y and our abili y o access i
   • Serve as he Cen er's liaison o he Da a Science communi y a UF
5. Communica e research findings
   
   • Suppor s uden ins ruc ion on analy ical opics
   • Deliver s udy findings and analy ical resul s a Bergs rom Cen er even s

SUPERVISION:
he Real Es a e Researcher works independen ly on major projec s agreed upon wi h he Research Direc or and in general suppor of he Cen er. he individual in his posi ion is expec ed o perform on own ini ia ive, given limi ed direc ion. he posi ion repor s o he Research Direc or and may receive direc ion from he Cen er's Execu ive Direc or. Supervision of his posi ion will be daily in erac ion and occasional s a us mee ings wi h verbal or wri en ins ruc ions as needed.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday hrough Friday, 8:00 am o 5:00 pm in he office loca ed on he Universi y of Florida Gainesville main campus. his posi ion is no a remo e work job.
Hours will vary during Cen er even s and as needed o comple e ime-sensi ive projec s. here also may be occasional ravel o mee he goals of he Cen er.
COMMUNICA ION:
In erac s on a daily basis wi h s uden s, s aff, and facul y wi hin he Cen er and more broadly a UF. hese in erac ions will largely be rela ed o research ma ers wi hin he Cen er. May also in erac wi h professionals in he real es a e indus ry, media agen s such as repor ers, alumni and cons i uen s of he Cen er.

Expec ed Salary:
$80,500 - $95,000 annual salary range
Minimum Requiremen s:
A Bachelor's Degree in da a science, s a is ics, bioinforma ics, analy ics, or similar field and seven years of experience; Mas er's Degree in da a science, s a is ics, bioinforma ics, analy ics, or similar field and five years of experience; Doc oral Degree in da a science, s a is ics, bioinforma ics, analy ics, or similar field and hree years of experience.
Preferred Qualifica ions:
Ph.D. in a rela ed field; or Mas er's degree in an appropria e area and wo years of relevan experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropria e area and four years of relevan experience. Proficiency wi h a leas one s a is ical sof ware package (S a a, SAS, R, Py hon, e c.).
In eres in he business and real es a e fields. Economics/Econome rics background. Advanced degrees and professional designa ions. Clear wri en and spoken communica ion. Professional knowledge of Microsof Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoin . Experience wi h machine learning or ar ificial in elligence.
