Are you a dependable high-energy Team Leader with a passion for delivering superior customer service? Our Managers on Duty (MODs) fulfill a multipurpose customer-oriented role within our exhibits and galleries. As a Team Leader, you will contribute to our success by taking the initiative to support and lead our Team by guiding operations, sales, and safety.

Along with greeting and welcoming guests, MODs provide positive experiences by assisting guests as they explore our AR/VR and informational exhibits and galleries.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a role model to Team Members by providing effective operational guidance to the Techno-Tainer Team in order to successfully execute company programs to achieve a competitive advantage.
  • Supervise cash management, financial records, deposits, and payments for all shifts worked.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of operational policies, procedures, and reports.
  • Assist Operations Manager by assessing training and development needs.
  • Coach Team Members while participating in and overseeing daily operations and customer service.
  • Retain current knowledge of and ensure adherence to all established company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and Team Members.
  • Demonstrate strong capability to learn and adapt after coaching and development discussions, including an ongoing desire to improve personal performance and skill set.
  • Accurately interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Take initiative in leading projects, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues in a helpful, timely manner.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Time Management: Punctuality! Be on time for each shift and ready to work at scheduled start time, to include prompt return from breaks and lunch.
  • Customer Service: Greet all guests with friendly and clear communication.
  • Attitude: Keep a positive, cheerful attitude to create and maintain a warm and friendly environment for guests and fellow Team Members.
  • Knowledgeable: Ability to learn and relay information about the various exhibits and galleries within our attraction, as well as the gift shop and photo sales area.
  • Sales: Accurately and efficiently sell admissions and photos through positive interactions. Receive payments and return accurate change as required. Examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity, using criteria such as color or date issued.
  • Safety: Ability to learn and strictly follow all safety procedures and protocols for each exhibit and gallery. Provide extra assistance as necessary for guests with physical limitations. Guide guests to exits and/or provide other instructions or assistance in emergency situations.
  • Alert: Be attentive to various supply levels and notify the supervisor when stock levels run low.
  • Cleanliness: Keep workstations clean and orderly.
  • Personal Presentation: Present for each shift with good personal hygiene and cleanliness standards to include a neat and well-maintained uniform, shoes, and name tag.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of proprietary company information that guests or vendors do not need to know.

Requirements of Successful MODs:

Successful candidates must be able to lead and motivate teams while satisfactorily performing each area of responsibility.

  • Night, holiday, and weekend availability is a requirement of this position.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule that will include a variety of shifts.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • MUST have reliable transportation and report on time as scheduled.
  • MUST be ready to work at scheduled start times.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with guests and peers.
  • Ability to present a calm demeanor that deters others from engaging in disruptive behavior while encouraging positive interactions with guests.
  • Willingness to continually learn about exhibits and galleries to provide guests with accurate information.
  • Ability to perform for and interact directly with the public.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to think outside of the box to find solutions and achieve positive results.
  • Ensure appropriate and safe use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Standing, walking, lifting 10 - 25lbs, twisting, and bending on a frequent basis. This is NOT a sedentary role.

Reports to Operations Manager and Director of Operations.

Full-Time Position

$16.00 / hr. Starting Hourly Rate, with potential for increase after successful completion of probationary period.

Medical, Dental & Vision insurance available to Full-Time team members after successful completion of probationary period.
