Manager of Sales & Marketing

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Manager of Sales & Marketing to join our growing company and help us meet and exceed our goals through various strategies.


Position Overview:

The Manager of Sales & Marketing reports to the CEO & President. This position is responsible for the team development, leading and implementing the entire sales cycle and the overall sales successes of the company including all aspects of business development, sales, marketing, social media as well as budget oversight and the development and execution of yearly sales and marketing plans that align with company goals and expectations. The Manager of Sales & Marketing will manage client accounts and come up with sales ideas to fulfill the company’s business objectives. This includes new sales strategies, relevant sales presentations, and business plans. In this role, you should expect to be in a fast-paced work environment and be able to prioritize tasks appropriately. The ideal candidate will be a strong strategic thinking and result driven individual who is open to change and challenges as they arise.


Responsibilities:

  • Executes sales, business, and company objectives.
  • Develops, coordinates, and implements plans designed to increase existing business and capture new opportunities.
  • Create new project strategies.
  • Build trust and long-term relationships with clients/customers.
  • Manage company and client expectations.
  • Identify sales and services that would appeal to new or existing clients, implement with business development team.
  • Manage and develop key client accounts.
  • Negotiate sales contracts/purchase orders.
  • Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions.
  • Drive new and incremental revenue by prospecting, acquiring, and developing new and fast-growing businesses.
  • Plan and execute new sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Manage team pipeline for growth and monitor new business.
  • Manage business development performance and achievements.
  • Establish rapport, build relationships, and explore EMC/EMI Chamber opportunities.
  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of current market conditions and current penetration of services and solutions by researching industry trends, organizations, and individuals to find and follow new sales leads and opportunities.
  • Arrange business meetings and one-on-one conversations with prospective clients.
  • Find and develop new market segments within the RF Chamber business.
  • Review and evaluate bid packages, scope of work, and bid drawings for the purpose of formulating proposal bid sales packages. 
  • Develop proposal estimates.
  • Develop quotes and client proposals.
  • Obtain accurate vendor costs and lead times to meet sales strategy objectives.
  • Drive improvement in customer satisfaction goals. Collaborate with colleagues to establish and implement services that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Prepare annual sales and marketing plans to accurately forecast budgets and achieve required operating results.
  • Create and conduct proposal presentations.
  • Maintain efficient sales office procedures for productive use of staff time and ensure the maintenance of accurate and updated account files and follow-up procedures.
  • Establish performance and development goals for team members and provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to ensure they are met, enhance performance, and hold team members accountable.
  • Develop team members skill set, product knowledge and encourage team members.
  • Attend and represent the organization at networking events, conferences, online/in person meetings, and industry related events.
  • Motivate direct team and staff; able to mentor, encourage and lead
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements and Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, business administration, marketing, or related field.
  • Ten or more years of Sales experience with three to five years of management experience
  • Three or more years of EMC/EMI/Wireless or RF Shielding Industry knowledge required.
  • Business strategy and market development expertise.
  • Experience in business development, relationship building, advanced closure, and in driving sales in a solutions-selling environment at end-user and C-level capacity.
  • Strong 360-degree strategic thinking is critical to success in the role.
  • Experience reading/interpreting blueprint, shop drawings for the purpose of bid package submittals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to influence.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish (to flourish with minimal guidance), be proactive and handle uncertainty.
  • Ability to set aggressive goals and objectives, bring multiple parties together, and drive a cross-functional team to achieve results.
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products.
  • Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
  • Understanding of how to position products against competitors.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize, manage time and delegate effectively, function well under pressure, ability to remain positive and constructive under stress.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Team player, positive contributor, and willingness to go above and beyond to accomplish objectives.
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor in addressing our customers’ business needs and pain points.
  • Agility to respond to new situations by modifying your performance and adopting new skills and abilities.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Social Media platforms, virtual meeting software.
  • Willingness to travel in the US and Europe as necessary.
  • May require frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
