Position Description:
The Manager of Nursing is responsible for coordination, supervision, and direction of patient flow, staffing, problem recognition and resolution, staff development, budget, and customer service for the designated unit(s) assigned. He/she is expected to keep current on regulations and standards as they apply to the respective areas. Acting as a role model and providing leadership for all department activities is an expectation of this position.
Education:
Required: 2 Year / Associates Degree (BSN obtained within 3 years)
Experience:
3 - 5 Years Experience in area of clinical practice required
1 - 3 Years Management experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills:
Required:
Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize, Analytical, Customer Relations, Computer Systems, Grammar/Spelling, Microsoft Office, Organizational and Verbal Communication
License, Registration and/or Certification:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in accordance with the Kansas Nurse Licensure Compact required upon hire
Healthcare Provider CPR – (American Heart Association or American Red Cross ONLY) required within 7 days from date of hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required upon hire
