Manager of Accounts Receivable
The Manager of Accounts Receivable is to perform and manage insurance claim payments and appeals for various clients. Additionally, routinely analyze billing trends to ensure prompt and accurate future payments as well as understand the insurance carrier payment process and claim appeals process, as well conduct research to resolve incorrect payments and appeal case.
Responsibilities:
· Experienced Revenue Cycle Manager who can contact with insurance carriers via telephone/online for status.
· Managing Staff/Preferably off-shore
· Monitor multiple outstanding A/R issues at once, thorough follow up until resolution
· Effectively communicate with Clients and Instruct as to Outstanding Issues, what is being done to fix
· Effectively communicate with MCO’s, Instruct them to take necessary actions to assist in excellent service delivery
· Follow Up with Managed Care Organizations on Outstanding A/R
· Experience with Article 31, 32,16, 29
· Document all follow up activities in system and Portal.
· Research and resolve all incorrect payments.
· Prepare and maintain appeals and insurance inquiries.
· Rebill outstanding claims; obtain proper documentation required for bill to be accurately paid by carrier.
· Post Payments and Denials
· Update patient demographic information accordingly.
· Recognize billing trends and proactively report the information to managers to avoid a delay in future claims.
· Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adherence to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
Qualifications:
Knowledge: CPT and ICD-9 &10 terminology, third party insurances including timely filing requirements. Knowledge of denials and rejection errors from Medicaid and MCO (Managed care Organizations)
Software Skills: MS Office, proficient with Microsoft Excel. Experience with Medical Billing Software. Advance Data System (ADS) billing software is a plus.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer service relation and telecommunications. Respond to questions in tactful and professional manner, able to persuade and influence.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred. Knowledge and experience in CPT, ICD-10 coding system, and Medical Billing, etc. (Previous exp. a plus)
