COMPENSATION: $60,818 – $72,981, Home Office Compensation Grade 5

THE OPPORTUNITY
YES Prep needs a dynamic Manager of Leadership Development with a diverse set of experiences, to make our mission a reality. As a YES Prep employee, you will achieve jaw-dropping results, create pathways to opportunity for our students, build transformative relationships, and eliminate educational inequities to advance social justice.
To put it simply, you will support the Managing Director of Leadership Development in project management work for initiatives of the Leadership Development Team. In addition, you will streamline and execute cross-functional work streams to drive organizational projects that impact all YES Prep campuses and school leaders.
THE ROLE
When you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include:
- Managing Leadership Development Team processes including:
- Managing the annual strategic planning processes for the Leadership Development Team, and working with the MDLD to set weekly meeting agendas;
- Tracking relevant goals and performance data for the team to drive decision-making;
- Developing systems and structures that ensure that Leadership Development initiatives stay on-track and on-time and holding various stakeholders accountable when they are not meeting expectations;
- Setting, maintaining, and managing team budget; and
- Operating the MDLD’s daily and weekly calendar, ensuring all meetings are well-planned and well-organized.
- Managing hiring, screening, candidate tracking, and delegating onboarding tasks for—
- Principal Pathway selection (Resident Principals, Principals, and Lead Principals); and
- Leadership Pathway cross-functional hiring (Resident APs and Directors and Lead APs and Directors).
- Managing logistics for Leadership Development Team programming including—
- Creation of meeting agendas and reservation of venue;
- Formatting and organization of professional development materials for ease of participant access;
- Pre-communications with participants, facilitators, and vendors to ensure preparation; and
- Procurement of supplies, meals, tech access, and other logistical considerations, as needed.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining institution-wide systems and resources for strategic organizational communication pathways and resource sharing across Home Office teams in support of Leadership Development Team vision
- Assisting in the implementation of financial policies and procedures that provide the platform from which YES Prep will operate with integrity and consistency
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and act as a representative of the Leadership Development team in all interactions

MUST HAVES
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- 3 – 5 years of professional experience in event planning, operations/support functions, and/or teaching.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office programs.
- Ability to balance the long-term goals of the team and the immediate details of an individual project to execute purposeful and effective programming.
- Evidence of producing high-quality work products on quick timelines.
- The ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong writing skills and aesthetically pleasing work product delivery.
- Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback.
- Demonstrated ability to work on a team.
- A dedication to learn, grow, and develop as a professional.

- Compensation – This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.
