Job Description
KPC Promise Hospital of PHOENIX: The Dietary Manager processes dietary information and creates a personalized nutritional menu for patients under the supervision of the CCO. The Dietary Manager checks and coordinates all diet orders coming from the Nursing Units using a meal computerized application system. The Dietary Manager is responsible for all aspects of meal service, visits patients for food preferences and acceptance. This position assists in maintaining department records and supplies, supervising staff, assures quality food production and assists in maintaining the Department is in compliance with all regulatory agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred
2. Food handler certification
3. Three years experience in Dietary (minimum of one year Management)
4. Must be able to read, write, and speak English
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical: Walking - up to 15% Standing - up to 20% Kneeling - up to 5%
Sitting - up to 25% Pushing - up to 10% Bending - up to 10%
Squatting - up to 5% Pulling - up to 5% Reaching - up to 5%
Lifting - up to 50lbs Wrist/Finger movements - up to 90%
Mental: Stress Level: Moderate
EXPOSURE RISK: Category III – Jobs in which required tasks involve no greater exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues than would be encountered by a visitor. The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MATERIALS, MACHINES USED: Kitchen equipment such as: blender, slicer, mixer, knives, toaster and oven, as well as telephone, facsimile machine, copier, printers, computers and other office equipment.
