Job Summary and Qualifications
The Manager of Case Management Education is primarily responsible for the coordination, development, and delivery of technology specific training and other staff development programs as requested to support the Case Management program. Working in a variety of mediums, this position is responsible for the development and delivery of a comprehensive education program related to systems, processes, and ongoing education as required. The Manager will work closely with various groups inside and outside the Case Management Department to help develop and implement targeted educational strategies. The Manager will also be responsible for assisting in the development and deployment of tools, references, and education materials as new processes are implemented.
The Manager will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Case Management Education and with other members of the corporate Case Management Department, Division Directors, and Facility Directors to provide the training needed for the entire enterprise.
Duties:
- Provides training on multiple softwares including, but not limited to, MIDAS+, DischargeCentral, Meditech
- Demonstrates proficiency in developing and delivering instructional materials, tools and programs to include written, multi-media, computer-based, web-based, and instructor-led solutions as instructed by the Corporate Case Management team
- Provides strong education organizational skills including agenda development, communication, scheduling, registration, facilitation, time management, attendance tracking, and student management
- Delivers education on Case Management policies and procedures to support systems, standards of practice, regulatory standards, and evidence-based best practices as instructed by the Corporate Case Management team
- Provides training updates regarding new processes and standards related to Case Management and regulatory compliance issues as requested by Corporate Case Management team
- Facilitates deployment of coursework in HealthStream; tracks and trends course completion
- Maintains integrity of existing HealthStream coursework, including timely updates of content
- Assists the Corporate Case Management team with presentation materials, toolkits, and written communications to the field as requested
- Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree preferred. RN with current state licensure preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant healthcare education or formal education experience including: curriculum development, assessment, and online/classroom training delivery.
- Clinical background preferred with a minimum of 3-5 years acute care nursing experience preferred. Case Management experience a plus.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice in Nursing preferred.
- Working knowledge of Case Management, discharge planning, and utilization review functions within acute care/ industry preferred.
- Expert using office software for developing and presenting educational sessions (including, at minimum, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Experience with LMS (Learning Management System) administration, such as HealthStream preferred
- Working knowledge of e-learning/distance education technology platforms and instructional design methodologies.(Could include but not limited to: Camtasia, Storyline, Captivate)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- RN with current state licensure preferred.
- Occasional and moderate travel up to 50%
