Job Description:
The Director of Titles will oversee/manage and lead a titling department, implement new technologies/methodologies/practices to improve department efficiency, and will perform quarterly and monthly production forecasts/projections. This person must have an expert level of understanding in all aspects Of Automobile titling in Indiana as well as understanding and being able to navigate the nuances of titling automobiles in other states. This person will need to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing as this company utilizes cutting edge industry technology and is subject to substantial growth.
• Work closely with the titles team to develop and implement system and operational workflow processes and enhancements to drive efficiencies for the titles team.
• Knowledge of state specific title laws and requirements for repossession affidavits, repossession, duplicate, corrected titles and perfecting liens, specifically related to refinance.
• Work cross-functionally with other departmental managers as a service-provider, and interact regularly with external sources such as auctions, lienholders, motor vehicle departments and vendors as a service-recipient.
• Oversee and coach direct reports in the performance of their responsibilities, goal setting and KPIs. This includes issuing disciplinary and completing performance evaluations when required.
• Experience selecting and managing third-party providers and establishing scalable operating models.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related education is preferred
- 7+ years relevant professional experience in automotive titling specifically
- This person will need to have been in a management role with employees directly reporting to them
- An understanding of how titles work in IN vs. other states. This person needs to be up to date on rules/regulations and be able to navigate title laws across the US when necessary

- 1st Shift
- Expected to be onside four days a week with one day work from home
